Patti A Thobe
Painting in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL
My artwork embodies the combination of impressionism and expressionism, I aim to capture nature's palette of vibrant hues, as well as the calm earthy tones. Rooted in a deep connection with the environment, my art seeks to distill the beauty of flowers and landscapes into a glance, a moment in time. Whether portraying the delicate details of a vase of flowers, or the vast expanse of nature's grandeur, my work invites viewers to immerse themselves in the fleeting elegance of the world around us, fostering an appreciation for the timeless harmony found in every petal, leaf and land.
Iām an artist, first taught by my artist/painter grandmother Wilma. She helped me find my footing and love of painting. Later graduating B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and finding my place in the world as an artist. Working as an artist/ Illustrator in textiles, I found my love for painting still life and landscapes.
